Here Come The Girls

Here Come The Girls was designed to empower young girls with essential life skills, confidence, and entrepreneurial experience. This programme was designed to be impactful, using real-world mentorship and practical learning to inspire students from similar backgrounds to achieve great things.

Boys Mean business

The Boys Mean Business programme was developed due to requests, as a male-focused counterpart to the girls' initiative. In addition to the core entrepreneurial skills, this programme placed a strong emphasis on respectful conversation, leadership, resilience, respectful interactions with the other genders, and what it truly means to be a values-driven young man.

The Here Comes the Girls project has been transformational for our students. Never before have I seen an after-school project have consistent attendance from students with such high levels of engagement and focus. This programme has inspired students to know that they are capable of setting up and running their own businesses.  It has given them the confidence to make a difference in their own school community and to think about how their own lived experiences give them the power to support and help others. The work with Social Ark is really powerful.

Social Ark & Hiscox - The 3 Year Partnership

Thanks to generous funding from the Hiscox Foundation, the Social Ark ‘Here Come the Girls’ Social Enterprise project aimed to positively impact 180 school girls over three years.

This report is a summary of that three-year programme. We're proud to say that we not only met our goal of reaching 180 school girls, but also exceeded it by including a program for boys, too.
